Background and Company History
Twenty years ago, in 2005, I, Janne Gustafsson, founded J Gustafsson Assistans as a sole proprietorship after working for 14 years as a carpenter and then for about 10 years as a network technician and IT consultant. However, my interest in boats has been with me since the early 1980s, which laid the foundation for the direction the business would eventually take.
In the beginning, the business consisted of a combination of carpentry assignments, IT services, and marine electronics installations. Over time, the demand for marine electronics increased, which gradually led to a full focus on that area.
Until 2016, I had support from Tom, who was employed in the company. When Tom chose to move on to new challenges, Alex joined as a co-owner, and together we founded JGA Marinteknik AB. At that time, Alex had already established himself as an experienced and well-regarded marine engine technician in the Stockholm area.
Since then, the company has developed into one of the leading players in marine electronics installation in Stockholm. Our goal is to offer complete turnkey solutions and to handle as much of the work as possible in-house. We continuously educate ourselves in new technologies and systems to always be able to offer our customers modern and reliable solutions.
Today, we also offer the production of custom-made instrument panels and other interior components using advanced CNC technology, which further strengthens our ability to deliver high-quality, tailor-made solutions.
